    Who is eligible for this service?
    All Adult Comsewogue Public Library cardholders (18 years and older).
    What type of assistance does the library provide?
    Assistance includes, but is not limited to, how to download an e-book or e-audiobook, search the library catalog, find a great book to read, and basic technology troubleshooting.
    Is there anything I can’t get help with?
    We cannot provide advice (medical, legal, financial, etc.). We cannot help with any kind of personal/confidential information, job applications, or connectivity issues. Staff will not remove viruses, run software updates, download/purchase/remove computer software, diagnose errors, or repair devices. The Library is not liable for any damage to patron equipment that may occur during a help session. We may not be able to troubleshoot devices with operating systems/software/hardware that are not supported by the manufacturer. Staff may not be able to provide assistance for all device types, programs, and problems. Please note that the Library does not offer One-on-One appointments in place of a full-length program (ie.     I need help with basic computer instruction, online searching and/or email? What can I do?
    Staff will review each request, and you will receive a response on how the Library can help or be given another resource suggestion.     Who will be helping me?
    We will look at your request and determine the best staff member to meet with you based on their expertise and availability.
    How long will the appointment be?
    Each appointment will last for approximately 15 to 45 minutes based on the type of help requested. Additional appointments can be requested; however, they are based on availability.
    How do I make an appointment?
    Complete the form with as much information as possible. A staff member will get in touch with you to schedule an appointment. Please note: We will be in touch with you within 3-4 days from the date you submit your request. If you’re unable to fill out the form, a staff member will be happy to assist you. Please call or stop by the Library.
    Where do I go in the library for my appointment?
    Come to the Adult Services desk. The staff member will meet you and direct you to the meeting space.
    What if I need to cancel my appointment?
    Please let us know as soon as possible. 24-hour notice is preferred. Call the Adult Services desk at (631) 928-1212 or email us at aref@cplib.org. We will do our best to reschedule your appointment.
