- You may submit each activity twice per month, which means you can earn up to 18 hours of remote community service per month since we offer five different activities. Visit page 9 of our newsletter for additional community service opportunities.
- After filling out the form with your remote community service submission(s), you will receive an email response with a PDF of your community service certificate. Please allow a week for a response.

Atria Resident Pen Pal
Write a letter to a resident at a local senior living community. Tell a fun story about yourself; share your hopes and aspirations; be creative! Letters must be handwritten and at least one page in length. Mail directly to Atria South Setauket, ATTN: Atria Pen Pals, 4089 Nesconset Highway, South Setauket, NY 11720. Take a photo of your letter and attach the photo to the form.
Chalk Your Walk
Spend an hour chalking your walk with positive messages, fun pictures, jokes, or whatever you think might brighten someone’s day. Take a picture of your creation and upload it to this form. Earn ONE hour of community service.
Cards For Hospitalized Kids
Cards for Hospitalized Kids (CFHK) is an internationally recognized charitable organization that spreads hope, joy and magic to hospitalized kids across America through uplifting, handmade cards. Create FOUR handmade inspiring cards with kind messages and earn one hour of community service. Click here to get ideas and the info on where to mail your cards. Take ONE photo of your FOUR handmade cards and attach the photo to the form.
Good Shepherd Hospice Cards
Make “thank you for your service” cards for veterans who are at the Good Shepard Hospice Center at St. Charles Hospital. Create FOUR handmade inspiring veteran cards with “thank you for your service” messages and earn one hour of community service. Click here to see example cards. The Kindness Rock Project
“One message at just the right moment can change someone’s entire day, outlook, life.” Paint a special message on a rock and place it in a spot around your community where it will brighten a stranger’s day. Recycling Teens
Earn community Service by recycling to reduce waste in your community! Recycle at home, or recycle plastic bottles at a local grocery store. Send a photo of proof showing your items you recycled or a receipt from the plastic bottle machine. These photos serve as confirmation of your participation. Museum Pass Exploration

Save a Pet Dog Treats
Whip up a batch of simple dog treats for our local Save-A-Pet Animal Shelter (located at 608 NY-112, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776). For recipe inspiration Click here. Call ahead (631-476-6333) to schedule your drop off with the animal shelter, and make sure to include a list of ingredients with your treats. Take a photo of your baked treats at the Save-A-Pet Animal Shelter and attach the photo to the form.
